UKSV appoints new managing director

Creative events agency, UKSV, has appointed Laura Lucas as its new Managing Director. This marks an exciting time for the future of UKSV as the business continues to evolve and grow its offering to clients as a creative agency and further build its brand and position within the industry.

With over 15 years of experience in the events industry covering both in house and agency roles, Laura brings a unique combination of expertise that will help to further shape the company’s future.

Laura joined UKSV just over 2 years ago now and was brought in initially as a senior producer to enable the Managing Director at the time, Jeremy, to focus on the growth and evolution of the business. Shortly after, Laura went on to join the senior leadership team and spotted an opportunity for the company to further evolve with an enhanced proposition to clients.

With the proven successes over the past 12 months, CEO, Jeremy Shakerley has now made the bold decision to accelerate further business growth potential, by giving Laura the opportunity to not only drive a new agency model but to take the lead in the overall business growth, strategy and future vision of UKSV as Managing Director.

Jeremy commented:

Over the last 15 years of being MD and more recently changing my role to CEO, I have seen the transformation of the business to where it is today. It is important for me to continue to see the agency flourish and grow and with such exponential growth possibilities, I had to ensure I have not only a strong leadership team, but also the right people in the right roles.

A decision I have not taken lightly, the decision for myself to step aside, whilst remaining as CEO within the business and leading the technical production team brings an opportunity for Laura to continue to drive the business forward as a whole, with mine and the senior leadership teams full support.

Laura’s appointment also strengthens UKSV’s commitment to nurturing and progressing internal talent, but not only that, to champion female leadership.
