Church House Westminster a Grade II listed events venue set in the heart of London’s historic Westminster. Originally founded in 1887 to commemorate Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee, the current building - designed by celebrated architect Sir Herbert Baker - was opened in 1940 by King George VI. Its extraordinary resilience was proven during the Second World War, when the building withstood bomb damage and went on to host Parliament and several of Winston Churchill’s most notable wartime announcements. In 1945, Church House welcomed the first meetings of the United Nations Security Council, cementing its place on the global stage.
Today, Church House Westminster blends its distinguished heritage with modern, flexible 19 event spaces suitable for conferences, awards, dinners, and high-profile gatherings. The venue continues to play a role in national moments, recently hosting receptions following the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II and the Coronation of King Charles III.
A wholly owned subsidiary of the Corporation of Church House, the venue operates with a deep commitment to sustainability. Achieving carbon-neutral status 6 years ahead of its 2030 target, Church House champions innovative, energy-efficient practices and responsible event delivery.
With historic character, contemporary facilities, and industry-leading ESG values, Church House Westminster remains one of London’s most exceptional and purpose-driven venues.
