Sarah Szekir-Papasavva

Founder and Virtual Assistant, Apt Virtual Assistance

Sarah Szekir-Papasavva is a multi award-winning virtual assistant, and the founder of Apt Virtual Assistance (AptVA). She is a highly-organised and experienced executive virtual assistant, supporting small business owners from diverse industries, providing professional, high-quality and bespoke administrative and creative support.
Sarah founded AptVA seven years ago, in search of a better work/life balance for herself after she became a mother and needed a flexible role, working remotely and digitally, which allowed her to spend more time with her young family. She was inspired to assist small business owners who, like herself, believe in building strong, successful and responsible businesses, which can represent their values, reflect their dreams, innovate their market, and contribute to society as a whole.
The range of virtual services Sarah offers through AptVA’s Bespoke Virtual Assistance are tailored to what each individual client truly needs, and would benefit from the most, especially when juggling so many essential tasks, often single-handedly. AptVA offers trustworthy, efficient, reliable, and proactive support, enabling small business owners to achieve a better and more manageable work/life balance, giving them back something truly valuable: time. By doing what they do best and delegating the rest, Sarah’s clients can considerably reduce stress and amplify their success.
Sarah is originally from Brazil, and has been based in London, England, with her family for three decades. She studied Visual Arts, attaining a BA in Painting, followed by a Master’s Degree in Fine Art, specialising in Digital Art. She is also a qualified Executive Assistant, and trained as a Virtual Assistant prior to setting up her own business, where she chose to combine her executive assistance services with her background in Visual Art to offer a range of creative services.
Sarah’s personal journey has inspired a lifelong fondness for travel, learning new skills and different languages, remote working, and the endless possibilities of being globally connected to diverse communities through tech and the digital world. She loves to connect, support and inspire others in business to succeed and prosper within their own businesses, and this is at the core of AptVA’s mission, vision and values and corporate social responsibility. Sarah has also won multiple awards within her industry. To date, AptVA has proudly collected twelve awards, including ‘Outstanding VA of the Year 2022’, ‘England VA of the Year 2021’, ‘South East England VA of the Year 2021 and 2020’ and ‘Best Newcomer VA 2019’ at the UK VA Awards, as well as three in 2024: ‘Virtual Assistant of the Year 2024’ at the Digital Women Awards; ‘Independent Virtual Assistant of the Year 2024’ at the East Midlands PA Awards; and ‘Independent Virtual Assistant of the Year 2024’ at the West Midlands PA Awards.
