People and Operations Manager, Savient Limited

With over 20 years of experience in operational support, Sarah James is the People and Operations Manager at Savient Limited, a leading cyber-tech company based in Cheltenham. Sarah has played a pivotal role in driving Savient’s growth, overseeing the development of a dynamic team of over 35 software consultants, engineers, testers, and operational staff.

In recognition of her contributions to business culture, Sarah was named Office Manager of the Year at The Office Management Group Awards in June 2022. She is passionate about enhancing employee engagement and creating a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

Sarah also leads the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) and wellbeing initiatives, ensuring that social responsibility is of the highest importance to the Savient team. Her efforts were recognised in 2021 when she was awarded the West Midlands PA Forum Ambassador for Change Award for her work in CSR both within the company and wider community. Under her guidance, Savient has achieved gold CSR accreditation, Environmental and International CSR Excellence Awards.

In addition to her work at Savient, Sarah is an active volunteer and advocate for STEM education. She is a STEM Ambassador and School Enterprise Advisor, working with schools in Worcestershire and Gloucestershire to encourage young people to pursue careers in STEM. She also oversees a successful T-Level scheme for digital, production, and design students in Gloucestershire, further strengthening the future generation of software engineers. Volunteering as a committee member for the PA Forum and leading the CSR support program of events for the last three years for the members.
