About this session
Everyone has learned to ask Copilot a question. The next leap is handing work off to it — describing the outcome you want, then watching it build a plan, act across your apps and files, and report back for your approval. This session introduces Cowork, the new agentic side of Microsoft 365 Copilot, built on the same Claude engine you met in “The AI Toolbox.” Through a real example — “Prep me for next week’s board meeting” — you’ll see Cowork pull the emails, build a briefing document, draft the deck and schedule prep time, all while you stay firmly in control through its approval checkpoints. We’ll look at where this is heading, what it means for the PA role, and exactly what to ask your IT team to become Cowork-ready. Demonstrations are shown as recorded clips, so a fast-moving interface can’t disrupt the session.

What you’ll learn
By the end of this session, you will be able to:

  1. Explain the shift from prompting Copilot to delegating multi-step work to an agent.
  2. Describe a real Cowork workflow end to end and recognise where it saves a PA hours.
  3. Apply the approval-checkpoint model to stay in control of what the AI does.
  4. Understand where Cowork outputs are stored and how to review them.
  5. Identify what to ask their IT team to become Cowork-ready in their organisation.
