The importance of team building in 2023. What has changed since the Pandemic?

"The main benefits of team building are well-known and include building trust, improving communication, increasing productivity and acquiring new skills. Post-pandemic, however, whilst team building is as important and popular as ever, we have seen a number of key changes that we expect will continue into 2023 and beyond.

  • Home and Remote working. This has not gone away since Covid-19 and is here to stay. Companies have introduced more flexible modes of working and the days of all staff being in the workplace on a regular basis at the same time have long gone. This means that bringing teams together is more important than ever.
  • Teams need to re-connect. Teams lost huge swathes of interaction time during the Covid lockdowns and there is still much catching up to do. They need to re-connect and re-learn how to work effectively together again, online, face-to-face or in a hybrid way.
  • Mental Health. With the stresses and strains, the Pandemic brought a greater understanding and awareness of mental health. Team building activities are a great way to improve mental health in the workplace, by reducing stress and promoting a more positive work environment.
  • Sustainability. This is right at the top of companies’ agendas. We are looking into delivering greater sustainability through the selection of more energy-efficient venues and the way we deliver our events.

Of course, some things haven’t changed. Team building will always be about people and collaboration.

Delivering team-building events is one of our key specialisms at Bright Vision. In our 35 years of trading, we’ve delivered team building to all sorts of clients, large and small, indoors and outdoors at a wide range of venues. We look forward to meeting loads of you again at the PA show on 1st and 2nd March 2023.”
