Afternoon Tea launched at L'Oscar London

Afternoon Tea launched at L'Oscar London

L’oscar London, a luxurious boutique hotel and the newest addition to Michel Reybier Hospitality (La Reserve Hotels), has launched their new Afternoon Tea inspired by the historical grade II* building that was once the headquarters of the Baptist Church. In true tradition, guests can expect delicious savoury sandwiches, freshly baked scones, and chapel-shaped cakes, all which are accompanied by “world’s most awarded” luxury tea brand, Newby.

The Afternoon Tea features a selection of savoury and dainty sandwiches including pastrami and cheddar cheese, egg mimosa and black truffle, and smoked Scottish salmon filled with lemon cream cheese.

Sweet treats on offer include delicately crafted cakes such as L’oscar Chappelle which translates to “Chapel”, consisting of tonka sponge, mango & passionfruit cream and vanilla mousse. The picture-worthy “La vie en rose” (Life in Pink) is infused with lime biscuits, strawberry confit, and rose lychee mousse and resembles Jacques Garcia’s butterfly theme that is decorated throughout the hotel. Lastly, the Opera Pina Colada is layered with pistachio joconde biscuits, coconut vanilla cream, and banana confit.

Traditionally, guests will also enjoy fresh scones that are baked to perfection and enjoyed with the classic clotted cream and homemade raspberry jam.

To cleanse the palate, guests can choose from flutes of Michel Reybier Champagne or a selection of loose tea leaves from Newby.

L’oscar’s Afternoon Tea is served at L’oscar Restaurant and is available from Monday to Sunday 14:30 – 17:00, with the classic Afternoon Tea starting at £49.
