L’oscar London: A Hidden Gem of Elegance

L’oscar London is a one-of-a-kind gem in the heart of the city. A quiet, elegant retreat just moments from the West End, the designer boutiques of Covent Garden, and many of London’s historic landmarks, L’oscar offers the very best of the capital right on its doorstep.

Housed within a Grade II*-listed former Baptist church, the hotel blends striking Edwardian Baroque architecture with rich, theatrical interiors. The celebrated French designer Jacques Garcia, renowned for his opulent aesthetic, has reimagined the building with sensuous fabrics, jewel-toned silks, and dramatic lighting. Throughout, feathered motifs and bespoke artworks pay homage to the building’s origins, creating a distinctive sense of place.

With just 39 individually designed rooms and suites, L’oscar offers an atmosphere of refined intimacy. Every space is richly layered with tailor-made furnishings and luxurious textiles, while the boutique scale ensures highly personalised service and the utmost discretion in the heart of London.

L’oscar also boasts three extraordinary event spaces, each imbued with the same sense of history and character. Whether for intimate dinners, corporate meetings, glamorous Christmas parties, or romantic weddings, these venues offer a memorable backdrop to any occasion.

The Committee Room
An intimate space for up to 26 guests, The Committee Room is adorned with exquisite peacock motifs and features a striking Royal Doulton fireplace. A perfect balance of history and opulence, it is ideally suited for board meetings, elegant private dining, or small-scale celebrations.

The Library
A breathtaking setting for weddings, receptions, and private gatherings, The Library is lined with rich panelled walls and works by Oscar Wild and The Bloomsbury Group, authors who’s works shaped L’oscar’s history and inspired its interiors. Fully customisable to your needs, the space offers both grandeur and intimacy.

The Baptist
At the heart of the hotel stands The Baptist, the original 1856 Baptist chapel. Enveloped by grand octagonal walls and a magnificent domed ceiling, this extraordinary venue can host up to 150 guests. Its scale and architectural beauty make it a remarkable choice for weddings, gala dinners, festive celebrations, and large-scale events that call for a sense of theatre.

Together, these venues embody the spirit of L’oscar, with sophistication, drama, and elegance
